Job Description

What The Role Is

MOH Future Systems & Innovation Division (FSID) oversees MOH's innovation strategy, which aims to drive the translation of strategic, clinically- and cost-effective health innovations and technologies into impactful implementations across the Singapore healthcare ecosystem. This involves horizon scanning and reviewing health technologies and their potential benefit for our public healthcare system, master-planning proven solutions or insights into mainstream, and developing an enabling health innovation ecosystem. To enable this, FSID works closely with a wide network of stakeholders and partners, and also oversees the MOH Health Innovation Fund.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time,

What You Will Be Working On

You will have the opportunity to work on the following:

1. Strategic planning and implementation of MOH's innovations strategy, particularly in key areas of interest, for example – robotics and automation, artificial intelligence, clinical 3D printing, and other potentially high-impact process and product innovations. This will require working closely with MOH policy divisions, and wider ecosystem stakeholders, and may involve you supporting strategic workgroups/ taskforces.

2. Administer and drive the MOH Health Innovation Fund and funding strategy. This will also involve measuring and tracking the success of grant investments, to ensure alignment of funded activities with desired innovation strategy outcomes; as well as conducting regular policy reviews and innovating or refreshing our funding strategy to better achieve grant objectives.

3. Be a relationship manager to key stakeholders (e.g. a healthcare cluster) to drive the broader innovation strategy and facilitate programme / project outcomes as supported by the MOH Health Innovation Fund. This will also involve strategic local and international engagements to forge multi-stakeholder partnerships, ensure a collaborative and enabling ecosystem and clear translation pathway for proven innovations to scale towards national impact.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education in Healthcare/ Science/ Engineering/ Technology fields
  • Experience in strategic planning, public policy, healthcare and/or STEM fields
  • Experience in policy, operations, and technology road-mapping
  • Strong analytical skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
  • Team player who is comfortable working with and leveraging synergies of different teams/divisions/entities
  • Able to work under pressure within tight timelines
  • Has high standards of professionalism
