Youth Corps Singapore is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join the Community Nurturers team to foster youth volunteerism and social impact. This role plays a key part in sustaining youth engagement by re-engaging youth leaders and volunteers whilst cultivating a vibrant ecosystem of youth-led initiatives through strategic partnerships, cause-based and skills-based cluster networks, and skills-building programmes. You will empower and mentor youth volunteers, support ground-up initiatives, and oversee impactful community projects that align with national priorities, empowering socially conscious and active young citizens to effect meaningful change in the community.
What You Will Be Working On
Scope and responsibilities
You will gain experience and hone your skills through the following responsibilities:
Youth Re-engagement & Retention
- Develop and implement targeted re-engagement strategies for Youth Corps leaders and volunteers through various approaches such as curated touchpoints, tailored opportunities, and sustained communications to maintain active participation
- Design and execute structured post-programme pathways for conferred Youth Corps leaders, offering diverse opportunities to continue contributing to the Youth Corps ecosystem
- Curate and manage re-engagement touchpoints across the leader journey, including homecoming events, Open House showcases, and Commencement ceremonies, to sustain cohort identity and community belonging
- Collaborate with internal Youth Corps teams and relevant NYC divisions, as well as external organisations, to surface and create diverse volunteering and leadership opportunities that cater to the varied interests and availability of re-engaging youth leaders
- Track and monitor re-engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts, identify gaps in participation, and refine strategies to ensure leaders remain meaningfully connected to Youth Corps within a year of completing their first programme
Youth Corps Cluster Network Management - Support the management of the Youth Corps Cluster Network through curating and executing the annual Rallying Force Retreat, fostering inter-cluster connections and collaborations, and facilitating knowledge exchange
- Plan and execute the annual Youth Corps Open House to raise awareness of Youth Corps, showcase Youth Corps Clusters and Affiliates, and re-engage leaders and volunteers
- Manage administrative and reporting requirements for the cluster network, including quarterly cluster lead meetings, cluster youth conferment processes, and timely reporting
- Process and evaluate grant applications and closure reports under the Youth Corps Cluster Project Grant, ensuring timely disbursement and accountability of funds
- Lead and manage a Youth Corps Cluster, coordinate cluster events (e.g. Purple Parade) and provide guidance and mentorship to cluster youth

Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills
- Effective project management and coordination skills
- Ability to design youth-centric engagement programmes
- Knowledge of youth engagement and development, and working with the social sector and ground-up groups
Personal Competencies: - Good communication and writing skills with good command of English
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Enthusiastic about engaging and mentoring youth volunteers, with availability on weekday evenings and weekends
- Proactive and able to work independently
Experience: - Experience in youth development, community engagement, volunteer management, partnership and stakeholder management, and/or events and programmes management
- Background in youth development or community sector preferred
- Supervisory experience advantageous
- Relevant experiences will be advantageous: Manager (1 to 3 years), Senior Manager (4 to 6 years)
