What The Role Is
You will be part of a team that is responsible for the formulation, co-ordination and implementation of policies related to the residential care facilities and eldercare services. Specifically in the Residential Care role, you will support the review, development and implementation of residential care policies and strategies to meet the growing needs of an ageing population. You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What You Will Be Working On
- Working closely with the various MOH divisions and external agencies such as the Agency for Integrated Care to review and implement policies and strategies to safeguard and uplift the eldercare sector;
- Ensuring accessibility to nursing home services to meet demands of the ageing population;
- Piloting new models of care and housing for seniors;
- Improving the standards and quality of care within residential care facilities (e.g. nursing homes); and
- Facilitating care integration between residential care facilities and other care services.
What We Are Looking For
- Preferably 2-3 year's relevant experience in the aged care/healthcare sector, public policy formulation/implementation and/or experience in social services. Background in strategic and service planning is an advantage.
- Preferably with knowledge of planning parameters for the aged care/healthcare sector and a good understanding of the industry to enable the development of strategies to raise sector performance and drive outcomes aligned to national healthcare priorities.
- Objective and analytical with robust communications skills (written and verbal).
- Good negotiator with strong people skills; comfortable with engaging and networking with internal and external stakeholders, as well as people from diverse backgrounds. Able to rally stakeholders towards a common cause.
- Hands-on team member who is adaptable and able to think quickly on his/her feet.
