The Senior Manager, M&E is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Tender / Early Contractor Involvement
- Review project designs and proposal
- Assist with the preparation of tender proposals, evaluating the bidders technical and commercial proposals
- Reviewing drawing and design specifications for compliance and developing value engineering solutions for the tender
- Identify and analyse the risk of the project and proposals
Project Site
- Oversees day-to-day operations for the projects
- Oversee the M&E team on procurement on the M&E packages
- Oversee the M&E team on design coordination to ensure compliance to regulations, specifications whilst ensuring constructability
- Oversee the M&E team on managing design changes and contract variations and monitoring the M&E budget
- Manage the M&E subcontractors to ensure effective delivery of the project milestones and objectives
- Establish the M&E programme and provide an overall monitoring of the progress and works to the PD/PM
- M&E budget control and provide necessary report to PD/PM for M&E cost
- Control and monitor design change requests raised by client and consultants
- Work with the Safety Department to implement of safety standards and ensuring the M&E department and subcontractors comply to the EHS policies of the organisation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or any other related engineering discipline.
- At least 15 years of experience in large-scale construction projects, with exposure to Data Centre projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in a consultancy firm, with a strong understanding of design coordination for mechanical and electrical trades.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical & electrical trades.
- Strong M&E works site installation knowledge with the ability toprovide practical solution related with site installation.
- Strong contract knowledge and able to explain for EOT and VOs.
- Strong local code/regulations knowledge pertaining to M&Eservices, building construction and safety.
