You will be responsible for the planning, project management, and implementation of IT infrastructure with a focus on automation, cost optimisation, and service quality. This role oversees day-to-day monitoring of servers, networks, and storage (e.g. patch management, compliance, etc) while managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets. You will also review and formulate IT policies and procedures to ensure operations remain compliant, efficient, and effective. You will provide support to users on end-user computing, smart devices, and application matters, and be accountable for monitoring IT and digital systems to maintain the highest levels of infrastructure performance. You will drive business goals through infrastructure excellence that enables innovation. This includes active involvement in developing IT architecture and operations processes, including governance and security for internal teams, vendors, and partners.
You will drive vendor evaluations for latest technologies and partners, manage strategic partner relationships and be technically hands-on to problem solve infrastructure implementation, system upgrade and operational issues. You will also be expected to plan and provide disaster recovery architecture and operations.
IT Operations
- Provide Level 1 technical support on End-User Computing (EUC), smart devices, and application issues; including onboarding and offboarding process.
- Support network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and related connectivity components.
- Assist in server administration, system recovery, hardware troubleshooting, and capacity monitoring.
- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud environments, and end-user devices across company operations.
- Monitor, manage and ensure health checks, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring activities are carried out properly.
Incident & Problem Management
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents affecting service availability.
- Perform troubleshooting and coordinate escalations with internal teams and vendors.
- Support service restoration activities and participate in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Change & Patch Management
- Execute approved infrastructure changes, upgrades, firmware updates, and patch deployments.
- Monitor and manage configuration backups, validation testing, and rollback procedures.
- Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Manage IT vendors, service contracts, and licensing agreements; evaluate and recommend technology solutions.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and business continuity through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and contingency planning.
- Maintain and ensure timely renewal of digital certificates, software licenses and proper documentation with the IT team.
- Track IT-related expenditure against approved budget.
- Oversee contingency plans and ensure their adequacy
IT Governance & Standards
- Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and operational standards to ensure consistent, secure, and compliant IT practices.
- Ensure IT operations are consistent with high standards from audit, risk, and compliance assessments.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement, maintain and adhere to IT security policies, access controls, and data protection measures in line with organisational standards.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats; conduct regular vulnerability assessments and audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and IT governance regulations (e.g. PDPA Singapore) and applicable local regulations.
- Ensure IT assets are protected, secure, and accounted for throughout their lifecycle.
AI Adoption & Enablement
- Assess and identify opportunities to introduce AI tools and capabilities that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and employee productivity.
- Drive change management and user adoption for AI tools, ensuring employees are equipped, confident, and supported in using new capabilities.
- Establish guardrails, usage policies, and governance standards for AI adoption to ensure responsible and compliant use.
- Stay current on AI developments and emerging tools; bring informed, grounded recommendations to leadership on where and how to invest
Strategy, Planning, Management Reporting
- Contribute and support IT strategy, covering IT policies and procedures, security, architecture, business solutions and operational functional requirements
- Keep abreast of developments and innovations in the IT landscape
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues, share information, and facilitate problem solving
- Contribute in the yearly budgeting for IT expenditures and investments
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 - 6 years of relevant work experience in Infrastructure, vendor management, IT procurement, and end user support
- Proven hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration
- Experience managing IT vendors, service contracts, and procurement processes
- Familiarity with government procurement procedures is advantageous
- Good knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
- Understanding of ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Certifications such as MCSE, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, and ITIL are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Teams, Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance
