KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of diverse IT projects, ensuring they align with RWS's strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. Your responsibilities will fall into these core areas:
1. Project Lifecycle Management
Planning & Definition:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior management to clearly define project scope, goals, and deliverables, always keeping the customer first in mind to drive value.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed tasks, realistic timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
- Identify and secure all necessary resources (human, financial, technical) required for successful project execution, taking ownership of resource needs.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and proactively develop robust mitigation strategies.
Execution & Monitoring:
- Lead and motivate diverse project teams, effectively assigning tasks and providing clear guidance for efficient execution, fostering a spirit of collaboration.
- Continuously monitor project progress, track key milestones, and identify any deviations from the plan, implementing corrective actions with an impact-driven mindset.
- Manage change effectively by implementing robust change management processes to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address impediments, and make informed, timely decisions.
- Ensure strict adherence to established project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), strategically leveraging Agile principles for iterative development and continuous improvement where appropriate.
Quality & Closure:
- Ensure all project deliverables consistently meet defined quality standards and fully satisfy stakeholder requirements, with a focus on customer first quality.
- Conduct comprehensive post-project evaluations to assess effectiveness, document lessons learned, and inform improvements for future project outcomes, driving continuous innovation.
- Oversee the formal closure of projects, including thorough documentation, seamless handover to operational teams, and meticulous archiving.
2. Stakeholder &Communication Management
- Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication, ensuring transparent and timely updates to both internal and external stakeholders on project status, risks, and challenges, demonstrating ownership of communication.
- Engagement& Alignment: Proactively engage with diverse stakeholders, deeply understanding their perspectives, integrating their needs, and effectively managing expectations to ensure project alignment and secure vital buy-in, always prioritizing the customer first.
- Collaboration: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with all parties involved, promoting open dialogue and mutual understanding.
3. Financial & Resource Stewardship
- Budget Management: Accurately manage project budgets, meticulously track expenditures, and ensure all financial objectives are met, demonstrating fiscal ownership.
- Resource Optimization: Allocate and optimize resources efficiently to maximize productivity, maintain cost-effectiveness, and achieve project goals with an impact-driven approach.
- Procurement & Contracting: Apply sound understanding of procurement processes and contract management to secure necessary external resources and services.
4. Strategic Acumen &Problem Solving
- Sense-making: Demonstrate a strong ability to interpret complex information, identify underlying patterns, and synthesize diverse data points to form a clear understanding of project challenges and opportunities. Skilled in navigating ambiguity and providing clarity and direction to the team and stakeholders, fueling innovation.
- Transdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively foster and manage collaboration across different disciplines, departments, and external partners to integrate diverse knowledge and perspectives, driving holistic and innovative project outcomes.
- Conflict Resolution & Negotiation: Proven ability to anticipate, identify, and effectively resolve conflicts within the project team or among stakeholders, mediating disputes to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Possess strong negotiation skills to secure resources, manage scope changes, and reach agreements, ensuring project objectives are met without compromising relationships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience
- At least 5 years of proven experience in IT project management, with a robust track record of successfully delivering complex projects, including hands‑on responsibility for planning, execution, testing coordination, and production handover.
- Demonstrable experience managing projects of varying sizes and complexities, working closely with Business, IT, testing, and operations teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery
- Experience within Integrated Resorts, Hospitality, or Gaming industry would be preferred
- Demonstrable experience translating business policies, regulatory requirements, and operational frameworks into clearly defined system requirements and delivery plans, particularly in regulated or controls driven environments.
- Understanding technical designs and delivery constraints, and their impact on project risk, timelines, options, and business implications.
- Proven experience coordinating system testing activities (SIT, UAT), defect management, business sign‑off, and readiness for production deployment.
- Experience supporting multi‑phase or long‑running enterprise systems, including enhancements, releases, and transition into BAU operations.
- Extensive hands-on experience working in Agile environments, including practical familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other iterative methodologies.
- Proficiency in use of project management software (e.g. Jira, Asana).
Certifications (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified ScrumMaster(CSM), SAFe Agilist, or other recognized Agile certifications
- PRINCE2
