Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the Group's monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and consolidation processes across regional entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial results, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation and consolidation adjustments.
- Review financial performance across regions and identify key trends, risks, variances and areas requiring management attention.
- Prepare and review Group management reporting, board materials and financial presentations for senior leadership.
- Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls, systems and reporting efficiency across the Group.
- Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting policies, reporting standards and financial data.
Technical Accounting & Financial Governance
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, financial instruments and other significant areas as relevant.
- Assess the accounting implications of new transactions, contracts and business initiatives and provide practical recommendations to management.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the Group.
- Establish and maintain appropriate accounting policies, guidelines and controls across the Group.
- Work closely with external auditors on technical accounting matters, year-end audits and complex accounting issues.
- Strengthen financial governance and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with regional and business leaders to provide meaningful financial insights and support business performance.
- Challenge business assumptions and provide financial perspectives on strategic initiatives, investments, pricing, cost management and resource allocation.
- Translate financial results into clear business insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across the Group.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to improve financial and operational decision-making.
- Act as a trusted finance advisor to business and regional leadership teams.
Regional Finance Leadership
- Partner closely with regional finance leaders and country finance teams to drive consistency, accountability and high-quality financial management.
- Provide guidance and coaching to finance teams across different markets.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls and enhance the quality and timeliness of financial information.
- Support finance transformation, system implementation and other Group-wide initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Typically 6–10+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within tech or start-up firm
- Strong experience in Group consolidation, financial reporting and management reporting across multiple entities and/or countries.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and experience in applying accounting standards to complex transactions.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with proven finance business partnering experience.
- Experience with ERP systems, consolidation/reporting tools and advanced Excel or equivalent analytical tools.
