About the Role
This is a hands-on, senior finance leadership role covering a 6-month maternity leave period. This person will oversee the company's financial operations, compliance, and strategic financial planning across an 8-country Asia business. The role leads the finance department end-to-end and works closely with the CFO and executive team to ensure continuity, rigour, and performance across all finance functions during the cover period.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership, Compliance Reporting & Commercial Oversight
- Lead finance team in all financial reporting, monthly management accounts, stakeholder reporting, and balanced scorecard reporting
- Drive budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and reforecast cycles
- Oversee all accounting functions: A/P, A/R, invoicing, statutory accounting, and controlling, ensuring governance and operational alignment across the group
- Oversee financial operations managed by outsourced accounting and tax service providers across the region
- Own cash management and working capital discipline across the group
- Ensure compliance – tax, statutory reporting – with applicable legislation across all 8 jurisdictions in Asia
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to support customer contract negotiations, including reviewing contract commercials, milestone billing structures, and revenue recognition treatment
- Maintain and enforce the group's internal controls framework, identifying gaps and implementing remediation where required
ERP Transformation – NetSuite Implementation
- Own the finance workstream for the NetSuite ERP implementation, serving as the primary finance stakeholder
- Lead the design and build of the Chart of Accounts structure, ensuring it supports multi-entity & multi-currency consolidation, and management reporting requirements across 8 countries
- Drive data migration planning and execution, including cleansing, mapping, and validation of historical financial data from legacy systems
- Oversee configuration of core finance modules including GL, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- Collaborate with the implementation partner to design workflows, approval hierarchies, and system controls appropriate to a multi-entity business
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for finance processes, coordinating with country-level finance teams across the region
- Manage cutover planning and parallel run strategy to ensure a controlled, low-risk transition
- Establish post-go-live finance operations cadence and support hypercare period
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA/CA or equivalent qualification preferred
- 10 years of professional experience, including senior finance leadership roles in Asia
- Proven track record managing a broad finance function in a high-growth, multinational Asian business
- Demonstrated experience building or strengthening internal controls frameworks in a scaling business
- Experience with Quickbooks, Lucanet, and Oracle NetSuite highly advantageous
- Experience overseeing multi-country subsidiary structures across Asia
- Experience in a private equity-backed business highly advantageous
- Fluency in Mandarin to effectively oversee business units in Taiwan and China
