About the Role
A healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional to oversee building operations, biomedical equipment maintenance, contract management and facilities development projects across multiple healthcare sites.
This is a broad operational role combining facilities management, engineering maintenance, procurement/tender management and project delivery, with responsibility for ensuring that facilities and equipment remain safe, compliant and operational.

- Experienced Facilities / Building / Engineering professionals with at least 5 years of team managemnet experience managing complex facilities and external contractors.
- Candidates who have managed both day-to-day facilities operations and upgrading/development projects.
- Individuals with strong exposure to contracts, tenders/RFPs, WSH requirements and regulatory compliance healthcare experience is advantageous but not necessarily essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee facilities management operations across multiple healthcare sites and corporate offices.
- Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety and operational requirements.
- Lead preventive, corrective and ad hoc maintenance activities for building facilities.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and repair of biomedical, physiotherapy and selected dental equipment.
- Manage equipment licensing renewals and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Lead contract management activities including vendor performance, service standards and KPI monitoring.
- Support annual budget planning, cost management and operational expenditure tracking.
- Manage sourcing exercises including quotations, tenders and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), from evaluation through contract award.
- Lead facilities upgrading and development projects from planning through completion.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, scope and contractor performance while minimising disruption to ongoing operations.
- Identify project risks, scope changes and potential operational issues, and develop appropriate contingency plans.
- Prepare budget estimates, evaluation papers, progress updates, cost reports and approval documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineer, Facilities Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant building and facilities management experience in a managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, vendor and contract management.
- Experience managing facilities development, renovation or upgrading projects.
- Good understanding of procurement processes including quotations, tenders and RFPs.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health requirements is preferred.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager would be advantageous.
- Experience with healthcare accreditation, JCI or occupational health and safety certification would be advantageous.
- Strong leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Able to engage effectively with employees, contractors, consultants and management stakeholders.
- Strong systems thinking with good attention to operational and project details.
