The Company

The association was established in 1993 to promote the use of franchising, licensing and branding as a growth strategy for Singapore enterprises. Through our partnership with Singapore government agencies and international franchise and license bodies (i.e. FLA is a member of the World Franchise Council and Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation), FLA (Singapore) supports our members internationalisation plans. With a 140-company strong membership base and growing, representing more than 250 exciting brands, FLA (Singapore) is led andmanaged by a dedicated team of advisors, committee members and secretariat to bring the franchising and licensing dreams and ambitions of Singapore companies into reality.

The Candidate should have experience in curating and organising events. The applicant should be able to independently complete assigned duties with high standards. Good communication skills will be essential to thrive in the role.

Scope:

1. Overseas trips (i.e. Business Matching/Market Study Mission/Tradeshows participation)
Fully accountable for P&L (incl payments), Marketing, Participation rate, Grant application & Submission, Event organisation, On-site support, Event report, Meeting internal & external stakeholders KPIs, Post event follow-ups.

2. Grant administrations
Fully accountable for ensuring documents meet grant criteria. Prepare expenses for audit & subsequently ESG submission for grant reimbursement. Ensures that participants are updated.

3. Awards
Responsible to review categories and structure for re-launch of nomination submission. Fully accountable for P&L (incl payments), Marketing, Participation rate, Event organisation (incl Judging, Award Presentation Ceremony, etc), On-site support, Publicity is maximised for Winners.

4. Membership
Support internal quarterly members networking event organisation, assigned accounts management, onboarding new members from OIC events listed above,

5. General Association Support

  • Administrations (invoicing, payment follow-ups, filing, etc) for assigned main scopes (listed above)
  • Update FLA sub-committees on project progress
  • Other roles when assigned as need arises

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and passionate in association/members engagement functions
  • At least 5 years experience executing events
  • Savvy in social media and marketing platforms for events publicity
  • Detailed-oriented, independent & proactive team player
  • Good people skills
