Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Senior/Manager in Environmental Health and Safety, where you will lead initiatives to foster a safe and sustainable workplace while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs to promote a responsible workplace. Drive initiatives to reduce risks, preventing incidents and minimizing environmental impacts. Monitor and communicate HSE performance using key indicators for informed decision-making. Provide expertise in the implementation of training, tools, and best practices throughout the organization. Ensure successful ISO certification through effective audits and resolution of corrective actions. Collaborate with leaders to build HSE accountability and a positive safety culture. Oversee the acquisition of necessary HSE authorizations and permits for new projects. Conduct incident assessments and investigations, performing root cause analysis to avert future occurrences. Champion sustainability initiatives such as energy conservation and waste reduction towards achieving Net Zero objectives. Represent the Asia Pacific region in global HSE meetings, translating directives into actionable regional strategies. Standardize HSE processes in Asia Pacific, promoting collaboration and sharing of best practices. Serve as the regional administrator for HSE platforms, mentoring users and supporting audits in Asia Pacific. Manage relationships with insurance carriers, ensuring alignment with regional HSE priorities and standard program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Safety Science, Occupational Health, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in an HSE role. Practical knowledge of HSE regulatory compliance and industry trends. Familiarity with local safety policies and procedures. Auditing experience from an Environmental Health and Safety perspective is advantageous. FSM Certificate. Preferred professional certifications include NEBOSH (IGC or Diploma) other internationally recognized certifications like Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are also advantageous. Experience with technology and training techniques relevant to HSE practices. Ability to influence current practices through expertise and professional relationships.
