As Senior Manager of Design DQA, you will lead a team responsible for shift-left, preventive quality and reliability activities related to Design and Live Die Reliability. You and your team will identify New, Unique, Difficult, and Different (NUDD) design and live die risks for each product in the DRAM portfolio and drive cross-functional teams to validate and mitigate identified risks prior to qualification. Your team will also analyze design live die related qualification failures, customer issues, and internal escalations to identify gaps in our existing processes and ensure that these gaps are addressed on existing and future products. You and your team will be the Design and Live Die subject matter experts (SMEs) for DEMQRA and GQ, and act as technical advisors for complex issues and assist in risk assessments for those issues. You'll also create new or enhance existing processes, projects, and programs to strengthen preventive DRAM Design and Live Die quality and reliability at Micron.
Responsibilities:
. Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Technology Development, and TSE to identify, analyze, and mitigate potential Quality and Reliability risks related to new Designs
. Lead worldwide team of Design Development Quality engineers in support of the entire DRAM portfolio from design start through Qual and NPI
. Initiate and drive projects to accelerate deliverable timelines, and minimize material and engineering resources required for data collection
. Lead by example in application of AI to your team's roles and responsibilities to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness
. Enhance business processes associated with Design and Live Die NUDDs and QRITs
. Define live die reliability qualification requirements and judge results for compliance and acceptability
. Lead, develop, and mentor team members
. Build a strong succession plan, grow technical depth, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
. Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with organizational objectives
. Influence decisions across organizational boundaries and effectively communicate technical and business tradeoffs to senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
. Minimum 15 years of experience in DRAM Product Development or DRAM Design Quality.
. Familiarity with DRAM operation and testing
. Familiarity with semiconductor process flows and semiconductor failure analysis methods
. Familiarity with CMOS transistor degradation mechanisms and conditions
. Strong ability to analyze data, communicate findings, and coordinate across teams in the semiconductor industry
. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and team members across worldwide Micron sites
. Experience with semiconductor yield analysis tools, reliability assessments, or Wafer Level Reliability methodologies
. Knowledge of DRAM DC and AC specifications
. Knowledge of Micron DRAM qualification business processes
