Job Description
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for defence electronics, including mission computers, platform communications, sensors, and C2 systems.
- Align product direction with defence capability requirements, platform roadmaps, and longterm sustainment strategies.
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, openarchitecture systems, modular electronics, secure processors, and advanced sensors.
- Conduct market research and analysis, including customer segmentation, ecosystem mapping, TAM/CAGR analysis, and competitive assessments.
- Develop commercial business cases, including 3year revenue forecasts, cost models, and margin expectations.
- Lead gotomarket strategies, covering pricing, positioning, sales enablement, and channel partner engagement.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with system integrators, distributors, and technology providers.
- Drive early technical engagement with suppliers and partners ahead of formal programme or platform insertion.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, programme, and manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and TRL readiness.
- Assess risks across regulation, competition, customer adoption, and market dynamics, recommending mitigation strategies where required.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in defence, aerospace, or highreliability electronics environments.
- Strong background in product management for electronics, embedded systems, or platformbased solutions.
- Prior presales or customerfacing experience within defence programmes
- Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
- Commercially driven, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
