Position Overview
We are hiring a Senior Manager, who will be using the big data in the public healthcare, to analyse, design and develop data analytics solutions that provide strategic insights to improve decision-making in Singapore healthcare system.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Work closely with project managers and business analysts to strategically drive project demands and ensure alignment with business goals.
Champion of Best Practices
- Establish and enforce standards for data engineering practices, including development, testing, and implementation.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and quality
Communication Skills
- The ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Responsible for delivering engaging presentations that resonate with technical architects, directors, business users, and data owners alike.
- Ability to translate intricate data insights into understandable language will be crucial in fostering collaboration and driving informed decision-making across the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science / engineering, Information Technology / System or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with a strong track record of managing projects and leading teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data warehousing, data analytics, lakehouse architecture, and AWS technologies.
- Proficiency and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Informatica IDMC and Databricks experience
- Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, OBIEE
- Working knowledge on BI standard languages such as R, Python, SQL, Apache Spark
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate or higher
- Databricks and IDMC certification will be advantageous
- Experience in healthcare industry, with broad understanding of healthcare business processes like patient administration, patient medical and non-medical services are a plus.
