Job Description
- Build and maintain a structured, ongoing view of major markets, adjacent sectors, and competitors
- Develop a continuous intelligence capability to identify emerging trends, risks, disruptions, and opportunities
- Provide leadership with data-driven insights on market attractiveness, industry shifts, and competitive landscape dynamics
- Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to define where the organisation should compete and how it can strengthen its market position
- Formulate and communicate long-term strategic direction aligned with market developments and technological advancements
- Drive strategy projects end-to-end, including market evaluations, opportunity prioritisation, capability gap analysis, and actionable recommendations
- Lead strategy development and growth plans for key markets, with emphasis on Southeast Asia
- Identify and evaluate new market segments, adjacency plays, partnerships, and potential acquisitions
- Prepare business cases and strategic assessments to support senior decision-making
- Develop high-quality presentations, strategy papers, and communication materials for senior executives and board-level engagements
- Translate complex insights into clear, compelling narratives for decision-making
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Background in management consulting or corporate strategy/in-house consulting
- Strong strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proven experience in leading strategy projects, including market/competitor analysis, opportunity assessment, prioritisation, and strategic recommendations
- Exposure to technology-led industries, digital transformation, or emerging technologies
- Excellent executive communication skills, especially in storytelling and slide development for senior audiences
- Strong ownership mindset, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
