Job Description

Title: Compensation & Performance Manager

Grit Search is partnered exclusively with a leading and fast growing Crypto Exchange company in Asia that's hiring for Compensation & Performance Manager and Specialist.

Job Responsibilities

1. Compensation Strategy & Structure Design

  • Build a competitive, globalized compensation framework aligned with the characteristics of the Web3 industry, covering fixed pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives (e.g., token or equity plans).
  • Develop internal pay grades and salary bands based on job value and market trends, ensuring both standardization and flexibility.
  • Conduct external market benchmarking and pay analysis to continuously optimize the company's compensation competitiveness.

2. Performance Management System Design & Implementation

  • Establish a performance management mechanism tailored to Web3's project-based and remote work models, incorporating OKRs, project evaluations, and 360-degree feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to drive end-to-end performance cycles from goal setting and coaching to evaluation ensuring outcomes accurately reflect contributions.
  • Design performance-linked incentive mechanisms to ensure strong alignment between results and rewards.

3. Incentive Programs & Innovative Mechanisms

  • Participate in the company's tokenomics design, planning token distribution and allocation strategies related to talent incentives.
  • Design diversified incentive schemes (e.g., vesting schedules, release mechanisms, project bonuses) based on organizational maturity and talent composition.
  • Monitor and evaluate incentive effectiveness, optimizing the linkage between performance outcomes and rewards.

4. Project Management & Data Analytics

  • Lead key annual compensation projects, including salary review, pay adjustments, and incentive payout execution.
  • Build and maintain a data-driven KPI system for compensation and performance, providing actionable talent insights and decision support.
  • Manage and enhance HR systems and tools to ensure data accuracy and visualization.

Key Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in compensation and performance management. Background in tech, Internet, or financial industries is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Mandarin. Spoken, written, and read.
  • Proven end-to-end experience in equity and stock option programs from listed companies or top-tier Internet firms.
  • Solid exposure to designing and managing total rewards frameworks, including both short- and long-term incentive mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation and performance frameworks; hands-on experience in token or equity incentive programs is a plus.
  • Understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, with experience supporting global or remote teams in rewards and performance management.
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills; capable of conducting benchmarking, cost modeling, and incentive effectiveness evaluations independently.
  • Strong business acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business leaders and executives.
  • High sense of ownership and self-motivation; able to drive projects independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
