Key Responsibilities
Reputation Building, Thought and Industry Leadership
- Strengthen corporate reputation through thought leadership and positioning efforts
- Lead the organisation's participation in industry awards, rankings, and benchmarking exercises to build brand credibility and external recognition
- Pursue opportunities to raise visibility across earned and paid channels, including participation in conferences, speaking engagements, and partnerships
- Develop clear, authentic narratives that position the organisation as forward-thinking and credible
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders
- Partner internal teams to ensure communications efforts support wider organisational priorities and initiatives
- Establish frameworks and metrics to track outcomes.
- Lead campaigns and initiatives that build brand equity and strengthen public trust.
Communications Management
- Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with organisational priorities and business objectives
- Create high-quality, compelling content including media releases, speeches, talking points, and articles
- Manage media relations, including proactive engagement and handling of media enquiries in a timely and effective manner
- Monitor media coverage and manage reputational risks through effective issues and crisis communications
- Trusted communications partner to internal stakeholders
- Ensure consistent, clear messaging across all communication platforms and channels
- Leverage appropriate communication tools and channels to maximise reach, engagement, and impact.
Key Requirements
- University Degree in Public Relations, Journalism or Mass Communications.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, content creation, marketing communications or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years related or relevant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the local and regional media landscape.
- Strong understanding of brand and reputation building including strategizing and executing across earned and paid channels, awards, speaking engagements, conferences and trade shows.
- Strong working relationships with media and experienced in effectively pitching stories to the media.
- Understand general principles of business and marketing, and the role of PR and communications.
- Strong understanding of social and digital media landscape.
- Strong writing, editing and oral skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong time-management and attention to detail.
- Able to work efficiently with different internal and external stakeholders.
- Open to flexible work hours and able to work weekends.
- Prior Sports, Entertainment and/or corporate PR experience would be good
- Agency experience/ or experience partnering with Government entities
