Senior Manager, Commercial, Financial and Investments Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will work closely with various stakeholders within Keppel Group and have high visibility with joint build partners/landing parties in APAC, North America and Europe.

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter who is capable of driving results without constant direction.

You should have a growth mindset and be willing to bring forth solutions that can benefit the Networks team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Lead the development of business cases and underwriting for international submarine cable systems, domestic terrestrial networks, or other strategic business initiatives. This includes coordinating discussions across platforms and presentations required as part of the investment approval process.

• Drive due diligence process for new developments by evaluating potential joint build partners / landing parties and coordinating cross-functional tasks

• Responsible to coordinate and drive discussions around financial controls, financing, and funding activities. This includes timely establishment of budgets, cost reviews, forecasts driving financial performance for Networks entities:

• Drive workstream to develop financial modelling and underwriting. This includes coordination of input including key assumptions required from the Investment, Finance, Tax and other central functions.

• Manage Network program Budgets (Rev & Cost) with target P&L in mind. Review variance analysis and cost reports prepared by Finance

• During development stage, drive regular review of cost forecasts, while ensuring alignment/ updating of key assumptions made for the financial model

• Gather input and alignment with all cost centre owners, highlighting any risks, dependencies and managing shortfalls and supplemental approvals where needed.

• Monitor funding sufficiency vs project progress (availability of funds for the end-to-end of asset lifecycle, includingrelevant undertakings and guarantees)

• Communicate and coordinate project activities to ensure financing

• Coordinate billing and payment matters with Finance functions

• Govern project activities to ensure financing compliance e.g. lenders requirements, ensuring that the conditions imposed through financing agreements are abided by
