This role will lead the development and implementation of dementia and mental health training programmes, in accordance with the National Mental Health Competency Training Framework (NMHCTF), Mental Health Competency Framework (MHCF) and Dementia Care Competency Framework (DCCF), to equip service providers with dementia and mental health knowledge and skills to support their clients. 

 

  • Lead the development and implementation of dementia and mental health training programmes aligned with the National Mental Health Competency Training Framework (NMHCTF), Mental Health Competency Framework (MHCF) and Dementia Care Competency Framework (DCCF), to equip CMH and ILTC service providers with the knowledge and skills to support their clients.
  • Maintain oversight of the dementia and mental health training landscape through regular desktop research on available training programmes and engagement with training providers.
  • Identify relevant training courses to address the learning needs of CMH and ILTC service providers, and ensure adequate supply to meet sector demand.
  • Work with the Manpower Talent Division (MTD) and external vendors to develop training curriculum and resources, such as eLearning materials and OJT blueprints, where existing courses do not meet training needs.
  • Lead regular reviews of training courses to assess whether intended objectives are met, identify learning gaps and recommend curriculum revisions where needed.
  • Monitor programme progress against key performance indicators, including the management and utilisation of the allocated budget.
  • Work closely with MTD and other AIC divisions to raise awareness of available dementia and mental health training programmes and improve access to relevant training for Community Care Organisations.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and partnerships with CMH and ILTC service providers, training providers and internal stakeholders to keep abreast of learning needs, emerging trends, training gaps and funding opportunities.

 

Job Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in healthcare related discipline, preferably with a mental health focus
  • Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) or equivalent, with added advantage
  • At least 10 years relevant experience with 3 years in managerial capacity
  • Prior experience in mental health or dementia desirable
  • Experience in curriculum development, training and/or project management preferred.
  • Able to work well with groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to multi-task and possess strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • A self-starter with strong learning ability, who is resilient, adaptable and able to manage change and ambiguity.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
