Purpose of Job
This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, business performance management, and data-driven decision-making across EB. This role serves as a strategic partner to EB Practice Leader, ensuring business objectives are translated into effective execution, measurable outcomes, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Strategic Planning & Business Performance
- Support the development and execution of the company's strategic plans and business priorities.
- Monitor and track business performance against key objectives and KPIs.
- Conduct business reviews and provide insights and recommendations to EB Practice Leader.
- Identify opportunities to improve business performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Lead strategic projects and business transformation initiatives.
Contract Management
- Review and coordinate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), service agreements, and other business-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and contract records.
Data Analytics & Management Reporting
- Develop and maintain management dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards.
- Analyse sales, claims, client, operational, and financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
- Deliver actionable insights to support management decision-making.
- Establish reporting standards and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Business Operations & Process Excellence
- Review, design, and improve Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives for EB department.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization.
- Implement best practices and performance measurement frameworks.
- Ensure operational processes support business scalability and service excellence.
Governance, Contracts & Project Management
- Review and coordinate NDAs, tender submissions, proposals, and key business documentation.
- Support governance and risk management initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of key business initiatives.
- Monitor project progress, risk, and outcomes.
- Establish project tracking and reporting mechanisms.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Business Strategy & Performance function.
- Prioritize team initiatives and manage project timelines.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, and Management teams.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable company and/or group policies and procedures. This includes any changes or updates to policies and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to compliance activities.
Knowledge and Experience and Skill
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in insurance, economics, business management or related disciplines.
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in operations, business strategy, business operations, management consulting, business analytics, project management or a similar role.
- Experience within insurance, employee benefits, financial services, or professional services industries is preferred.
- Proven track record in process improvement and business transformation projects.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of process improvement and SOP development is a plus.
- Experience reviewing contracts, NDAs, and tender documentation.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and written in English.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point)
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently and manage multiple priorities.
