Job Description:
Business Development (for both event marketplace and full-service events agency):
- Proactively identify, target and secure new business opportunities, not limited to corporate live events & event marketplace platforms.
- Assess gaps and opportunities based on stakeholder feedback to improve business offerings and processes.
- Conduct market research and obtain insights from business networks to identify emerging trends and potential areas of growth.
- Be in tune with the latest business trends and develop business development plans and strategies.
- Review business development plans and strategies periodically with stakeholders.
- Expand, develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients through networking, outreach efforts and referrals.
- Engage with business partners, suppliers and vendors for new business opportunities.
- Give presentations on business offerings, projects or collaboration ideas to prospective clients or business partners.
- Collecting and analyzing data about the business development activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and results to management.
- Collaborate with internal team (e.g. marketing or client servicing) to support business growth.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be a team player and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement business development plans.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, hospitality and event management would be an added advantage.
- Candidates must be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, Event Management, or related field.
- Candidates should have a good command of English Language (written & spoken).
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite and CRM software.
- A minimum of 5-6 years working experience in related roles is required for this position.
- Flexibility to travel (as needed) for client meetings and events.
