Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable - GH
Our client is looking for an experienced finance professional with strong expertise in AR operations, financial reporting, audit, compliance, and SAP S/4HANA systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable operations, including billing, collections, refunds, and debt management.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely revenue recognition and reporting for training programmes, projects, grants, and other income streams.
- Review and approve journals, revenue adjustments, and AR-related accounting treatments within SAP S/4HANA.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial and AR reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide finance and management support in budgeting, forecasting, financial sustainability planning, grant claims and audits, billing and collections management, debt risk management, and consolidated reporting.
- Provide finance advisory support for business development initiatives through assessment of funding structures, pricing strategies, and financial risks.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, data governance requirements, and relevant regulatory frameworks, Companies Act, GST regulations, and PDPA.
- Maintain strong internal controls over billing, revenue recognition, grant accounting, and AR processes.
- Identify control gaps and operational risks, and implement appropriate mitigating measures.
- Lead the resolution of audit queries and issues with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee grant audits and ensure accuracy and completeness of income and expenditure reporting and related submissions.
- Review and enhance finance-related policies, procedures, and SOPs to strengthen governance, standardisation, and operational effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, system controls, and audit readiness across financial processing, billing, collections, and SAP S/4HANA workflows.
- Engage stakeholders across divisions to ensure alignment, adoption, and compliance with updated systems and processes.
- Support system enhancement initiatives from design through testing and implementation.
- Drive change management efforts for new finance processes and contribute to finance transformation and value creation initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related discipline with 10-15 years of relevant finance experience.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in public sector, education, training, or grant-funded environments is advantageous.
- Strong experience in audit, regulatory reporting, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems.
- Resilient, hands-on, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
