Senior Maintenance Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all maintenance operations, repair works, system upgrades, and asset lifecycle management for Pneumatic Waste Conveyance Systems (PWCS).
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans, preventive maintenance programs, manpower allocation, and resource planning to ensure maximum system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Manage site mobilization activities and collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams for timely sourcing of spare parts, equipment, and maintenance materials.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance teams, subcontractors, and service personnel across multiple sites to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
- Monitor maintenance schedules, work progress, system performance, and project milestones to ensure timely completion and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Establish and maintain maintenance documentation, service reports, equipment history records, maintenance checklists, and asset management databases.
- Liaise directly with clients, facility management teams, consultants, and stakeholders regarding maintenance schedules, system performance, service reports, and operational improvements.
- Review, approve, and maintain Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and permit-to-work documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for complex pneumatic conveying system faults, mechanical equipment failures, electrical controls, and automation-related issues.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, performance verification, and system acceptance for repair, replacement, and enhancement works.
- Develop and update Operation & Maintenance Manuals, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, environmental requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Mentor, train, and develop maintenance supervisors, technicians, and engineers to strengthen technical competency and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering, project, and operations teams to support system upgrades, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, cost forecasts, resource plans, and performance reports for management review.
- Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system uptime, maintenance efficiency, safety performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant maintenance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or senior supervisory capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatic conveying equipment, blowers, valves, electrical control systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, asset management, troubleshooting, and leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, risk assessment procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and maintenance contracts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and technical reporting.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.
