SENIOR / MAINTENANCE EXECUTIVE

Job Functions & Summary:

Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the building maintenance team, supporting the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of the Club's property. This includes machinery and kitchen equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, air-conditioning systems, fire and life safety systems, as well as buildings and other structures. The role also encompasses cost control, expense management, and the planning and budgeting of both capital and operational expenditures.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the facilities maintenance team.

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in forecasting operational and capital budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

  • Manage and supervise appointed contractors to ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed in accordance with required timelines and quality standards set by the club.

  • Support the Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling major maintenance and repair works for the club building facilities.

  • Attend system breakdowns and provide frontline building maintenance support when required. Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring that all building maintenance work is carried out with minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of technical equipment and spare parts to support prompt service delivery.

  • Provide guidance and conduct training for maintenance staff to enhance technical competencies and ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.

  • Conduct periodic inspections of club facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with standards.

  • Review and evaluate service vendors performance to ensure compliance with required service levels and quality standards.

  • Ensure vendors service reports and invoices are processed and maintained systematically for efficient tracking and reference.

  • To provide technical guidance to the facilities maintenance team in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and general building works.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or M&E operations.

  • Prior experience in hotel, hospitality, club, or other 24/7 operational environments is highly preferred.

  • Experience in handling breakdowns and emergency situations, including after-hours response when required.

  • Good understanding of preventive maintenance systems and facility management practices.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, building services, and general building maintenance works.

  • Ability to provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to maintenance teams.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational and facility management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with a positive attitude and the ability to foster teamwork among support staff.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a mid-size in house team, with adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-ethnic environment.
