Our client is a global powerhouse in the container shipping and maritime logistics sector, recognized as one of the largest and most technologically advanced ocean carriers in the world. Formed through the strategic integration of major international shipping legacies, the company operates an extensive network that spans over 120 countries.

Job Scope:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on professional to oversee the Maintenance and Repair (M&R) lifecycle of the organisation's global container fleet. This role is pivotal in balancing technical excellence, ensuring that the dry and reefer assets remain in peak condition while optimizing operational spend.

You will serve as a bridge between regional vendors and global leadership, driving efficiency through data-driven insights and rigorous quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and refine global criteria, policies, and technical guidelines for M&R activities across dry and reefer units.
  • Direct regional teams and third-party vendors, providing clear technical instructions to maintain quality standards and control repair costs.
  • Assist the Head of Department in setting organizational targets and contributing to long-term departmental strategy.
  • Conduct regular deep-dive data analysis to monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and present actionable improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Lead onsite depot audits, focusing on administrative accuracy, technical training, and strict adherence to corporate procedures.
  • Mentor team leads and members to enhance workflow efficiency and professional growth.
  • Execute high-impact ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • More than 3–5 years of proven experience in M&R operations and equipment flow management.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and IT applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • A strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
