- Manage complex international shipment execution from booking through successful shipment completion.
- Review completed shipments to ensure all operational and commercial matters are properly closed.
- Investigate unexpected logistics costs, freight discrepancies and service issues with logistics service providers.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders on outstanding operational matters, including freight charges, detention, demurrage, storage charges, claims and service recovery where applicable.
- Support freight invoice verification and logistics cost validation.
- Identify opportunities to improve freight cost, carrier performance and logistics service quality.
- Provide technical logistics advice for complex shipment arrangements.
- Coach junior logistics personnel on operational best practices.
- Support development of logistics standards and operational procedures.
- Work closely with the Senior Planning Executive by providing operational feedback and shipment execution
data to support planning improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics and freight forwarding practices.
- Minimum 8-15 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or project logistics.
- Strong experience in international freight operations, including air, sea and multimodal transportation.
- Experience in project cargo coordination, shipment planning and execution.
- Good understanding of international shipping documentation, customs clearance, Incoterms and freight cost management.
- Experience in supporting cross-functional project teams and coordinating with freight forwarders, suppliers and customers.
- Experience in mentoring or guiding junior logistics personnel will be an advantage.
