Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel with deep expertise in real estate transactional matters to join our established legal team. This is a senior role with group-level responsibilities, providing strategic legal support across the company's diverse real estate portfolio and investment activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage legal support for complex real estate acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, developments, and leasing transactions at the group level.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate, construction, and related commercial agreements.
  • Advise senior leadership on structuring, risk allocation, financing, and regulatory considerations relating to major real estate projects.
  • Partner with commercial, finance, and project teams to deliver on cross-border developments and strategic investments.
  • Manage and instruct external counsel, ensuring cost-efficient, business-oriented advice.
  • Provide guidance on governance, compliance, and risk management for the group's real estate interests.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the legal team, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with substantial real estate transactional experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a leading multinational or regional company.
  • Proven track record in large-scale, cross-border real estate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, leasing, and developments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with leadership teams.
  • Collaborative, hands-on, and capable of operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
