Our client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
1. R&D & General Corporate Affairs
- Strategic Advisory: Act as the lead legal counsel for R&D activities, providing end-to-end support for technology collaborations, complex procurement, and labor relations.
- Operational Excellence: Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes commercial contracts and ensure legal robustness in regional business expansion.
- Dispute Management: Oversee and resolve corporate disputes to minimize institutional risk.
2. Intellectual Property (IP) Leadership
- Capability Building: Drive the development of professional IP capabilities across Southeast Asia, including IP operations and strategic cooperation.
- IP Enforcement: Lead regional IP mediation, arbitration, and litigation (IP Business) to protect and leverage the company's innovation portfolio.
3. Environmental Insight & Policy Analysis
- Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor and analyze evolving legislation and policy shifts across major Southeast Asian markets.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide high-impact insights on emerging fields, including AI Governance, Export Controls, Labor Law, and IP protection, ensuring business continuity in a volatile regulatory climate.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Law (LL.M or J.D.) with a specialized focus on Intellectual Property or Corporate Law.
- Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Chinese (both written and oral) is mandatory, as the role requires seamless communication with global headquarters and regional stakeholders.
- Legal Expertise: * Deep understanding of Singapore Labor Law and regional legal frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a multinational technology firm or a top-tier law firm.
