We are working with a leading Digital Infrastructure organisation in their search for a Senior Legal Counsel to join them in their continued expansion. This is a commercially-focused role with high visibility, offering the chance to make an impact on strategic initiatives. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving complex transactions and structuring activities across the organisation's regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-Border Transactions: Provide legal advice on corporate matters including acquisitions, new market entries, capital raisings and joint ventures across Asia Pacific and other regions.
- Due Diligence & Risk Management: Lead due diligence efforts, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and manage legal and regulatory risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
- Transaction Documentation: Review, negotiate, and finalise key agreements, including complex transaction documents, confidentiality agreements, and preliminary deal terms.
- Emerging Issues & Compliance: Monitor and identify new legal and regulatory developments, drive initiatives to strengthen awareness and compliance, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide legal expertise on corporate stretegies, process optimisation and regulatory obligations.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in the corporate/M&A, private equity and real estate investment practices, ideally with a mix of private practice and in-house exposure.
- A proven track record in managing cross-border M&A and corporate transactions across the full deal life-cycle is essential.
- Prior experience in advising data centres, telco companies and other large infrastructure businesses will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to partner seamlessly with stakeholders and external counsels across functions and jurisdictions.
