About The Role

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will have the opportunity to play a role in leading legal and compliance (L&C) matters, including contracts, M&A, corporate governance, compliance and regulatory, disputes and company secretarial.

It's an individual contributor role (with a career growth to be a people manager in the near future)

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Corporate / Commercial

• Draft contracts—using standard forms or otherwise—for purchasing, distribution, agency, co-operation, R&D, IT, intra-group loans, etc.
• Support on M&A and joint ventures

Corporate Governance, Compliance & Regulatory

• Assist with rolling out, administering/updating and training personnel on corporate governance and compliance policies and protocols (business partner approval process, supply chain management, etc.)
• Assist in ensuring internal delegation of authority and external signing policies are adhered to
• Research and advise on ad- hoc regulatory issues (including the EU Machinery Directive)

Disputes

• Assist in dispute resolution strategy, negotiations and settlement

Other

• Assist with oversight of global company secretarial matters, including board and shareholder meetings
• Participate in ad hoc projects and advise across the spectrum of the Legal and Compliance (L&C) department
• Act as liaison with external counsel
• Assist with collection and organization of L&C Know-How
• Administer and update the L&C Intranet site
• Assists with the L&C input into the annual external audit

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Master level (MBA) educational background preferred
• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in Legal field
• Good written & spoken English is essential
