We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel to support its growing APAC business. This is a strategic role offering high visibility and close interaction with senior stakeholders across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to regional leadership on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters
- Provide legal support across business activities, including client agreements, vendor contracts, and strategic initiatives
- Advise on legal and regulatory risks, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and internal governance frameworks
- Support new business initiatives, product launches, and market expansion across APAC
- Manage and oversee external counsel where required
- Contribute to the development of legal processes, policies, and best practices
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 12+ years relevant experience in financial services or a regulated industry
- Prior exposure to industries such as banking, capital markets, brokerage, trading, fintech, or other financial institutions
- Strong grounding in commercial contracts and legal advisory work
- Experience supporting cross-border or regional businesses is advantageous
- Familiarity with APAC regulatory environments is beneficial
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and communication skills
