We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary legal advisor on all employment law matters, working directly with leadership and People & Culture (formerly HR) teams to ensure compliance, foster positive labor relations, and champion best practices.


Key Responsibilities

. Provide expert counsel on Singaporean employment law, regulations, and labor practices.
. Coordinate employment law advice across the APAC region and India, including the engagement with external law firms, including SLA
. Advise business leaders and People & Culture (HR) on workforce strategy, policies, and procedures.
. Managing on internal process and budget for engagement with external law firms.
. Monitoring and tracking of cases across the region and responsible for hosting quarterly meeting reviews with regional P&C Heads.
. Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee documentation.
. Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance.
. Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, proactively advising on potential impacts and strategic responses.
. Manage employment-related disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk for the company.
. Collaborate with global legal teams to implement company-wide initiatives and harmonize labor practices.
. Provide strategic advise to manage Labor Union matters as collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiations, conflict resolution and ensuring compliance with labor laws

Qualifications & Experience:

. Bachelor's degree in law postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable.
. Admitted to practice law in Singapore.
. Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
. Strong knowledge of Singaporean labor legislation, jurisprudence, and regulatory landscape. Additional knowledge of Indian labour legislation could be an asset.
. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
. Professional proficiency in English is required.
. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across diverse teams
