Senior Legal Counsel, APAC (M&A)

A leading global investment platform is seeking a Principal Legal Counsel (8-10 PQE) to join its growing APAC legal team in Singapore.

This is a highly commercial role supporting investments, financings, co-investments and divestments across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Working closely with investment professionals, legal colleagues and external counsel, you will play a key role in executing complex cross-border transactions and supporting portfolio investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support M&A, investment, financing and divestment transactions across APAC.
• Advise on transaction structuring, risk assessment, negotiation and execution.
• Partner closely with deal teams and external counsel throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Provide legal support on portfolio company matters and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory, compliance and fund-related matters across the region.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 8-10 years PQE.
• Strong M&A, private equity, infrastructure or finance transactions experience.
• Proven track record handling complex cross-border deals.
• Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Prior in-house experience is advantageous but not required.
