Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the end-to-end lifecycle ofcommercial agreements, including the drafting, evaluation, and intensivenegotiation of contracts to secure highly favorable terms for the organization.
- Act as the principal advisor on corporatestructuring for large-scale developments, ensuring that joint ventures andspecial purpose vehicles adhere rigorously to both domestic and internationalstatutory requirements.
- Spearhead complex conflict resolutioninitiatives, taking charge of mediations, arbitration proceedings, and generallitigation while partnering efficiently with external legal professionals.
- Proactively map out contractual vulnerabilitiesacross diverse project phases, conceptualizing tactical measures to insulatethe business from potential liabilities and regulatory risks.
- Champion corporate governance by organizingcompliance training for various business units, standardizing legaldocumentation, and establishing robust internal operating policies.
- Drive the systematic acquisition and renewal ofall critical site permits, regulatory licenses, and official clearances neededto sustain uninterrupted operational execution.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor of Laws (LLB) attained from areputable and recognized university.
- At least 10 years of robust post-qualificationexperience spanning private practice or corporate in-house environments,particularly experience in handling construction portfolios.
- Comprehensive grasp of Singaporean constructionlegislation, building codes, trade laws, and industry-wide regulatoryframeworks.
- Astute commercial acumen with a detail-orientedapproach to structuring complex legal solutions and influencingcross-functional stakeholders at senior levels.
