Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Learning and Business Analytics Director, the primary role of the Senior /Technical Learning Specialist is to be responsible for implementing and administering technical and compliance training programs for the colleagues based in the Tuas active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturing site. This role focuses on gap analysis, training coordination, designing, and delivering learning programs to deliver flawless execution and career/workforce progression. The colleague should leverage the site's Lean Manufacturing System for day-to-day operations, problem solving, escalations and continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:

1) Leaning Management System

  • Obtain the necessary administration badges for Viatris Learning Management System (LMS) application, called MyUniversity
  • Actively create, manage and maintain accurate training content in MyUniversity, including but not limited to learning items, curricula, assignments, completion records

2) Capability Building and Site Collaboration

  • Create Job Training Curriculum's with line managers and trainers
  • Design and deliver appropriate technical and quality compliance training to site colleagues according to business needs.
  • Coach and train the trainers to design and develop training to improve knowledge and skills in their function
  • Participate in the investigation of deviations in the site associated with proficiency errors and recommend appropriate learning solutions to aid in reducing human errors to improve business processes and site performance
  • Keep up to date with technical skills and training tools and participate and represent Technical Learning in regulatory audits
  • Create and/or conduct learning assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of transfer of knowledge and skills
  • Identify innovative ideas to continuously improve training delivery and outcome
  • Develop courses of action and drive implementation of solutions

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, sciences or related discipline
  • Certification in Training or Adult Education

Skills and Experience

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or any other regulated industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, designing, and developing solutions, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Ability to develop impactful training materials using a variety of techniques (short videos, e-learning modules
  • Experienced in effectively delivering training content (presentation skills)
  • Experienced in using analytics (both quantitative and qualitative) to measure and analyze learning-related metrics, identify gaps and engage multiple stakeholders to drive alignment and action to address the gaps
  • Ability to communicate with and influence peers and leaders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and independently to resolve issues
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in dynamic and often ambiguous environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Embrace the use of digital technology to scale and speed up every form of interaction and action
