About the Opportunity
Our client is a global technology and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its product development team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electro-mechanical products from concept through to mass production while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilitie
- sLead the mechanical design and development of new products and product enhancements
- .Create modular hardware architectures and develop detailed mechanical designs
- .Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and technical analyses on components and assemblies
- .Identify technical risks early and develop practical engineering solutions
- .Ensure product designs meet quality, cost, manufacturability, and performance objectives
- .Own and manage engineering timelines for assigned projects
- .Support project planning and drive design execution throughout the development lifecycle
- .Develop prototypes, validation plans, and testing methodologies to verify product performance
- .Collaborate with product management and commercial teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering specifications
- .Work closely with manufacturing teams to support processes such as injection moulding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, gear systems, and product assembly
- .Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, improve existing products, and support value engineering initiatives
- .Partner with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, and Product teams to deliver integrated solutions
- .Apply advanced mechanical engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges
- .Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required

Requiremen
- tsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplin
- e.At least 8 years of experience in mechanical product design and developmen
- t.Proven experience taking products through the complete development lifecycle, from concept to productio
- n.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and product design methodologie
- s.Experience designing precision mechanical systems, including mechanisms such as gears, linkages, cams, or clutche
- s.Knowledge of electro-mechanical components including motors, sensors, and power transmission system
- s.Hands-on experience designing components made from plastics, sheet metal, die-cast materials, rubber, and other mechanical assemblie
- s.Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with FEA analysis tool
- s.Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- ).Exposure to Design of Experiments (DOE), Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFM, DFA, or similar engineering methodologies would be an advantag
