1. Process Development and Optimization

  • Develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes for laser modules, optical assemblies, and related sub-systems.
  • Define critical process parameters for optical alignment, bonding, soldering, and laser cavity assembly.
  • Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and SPC (Statistical Process Control) to optimize yield and minimize process variability.
  • Translate R&D prototypes into robust, repeatable production processes.

2. Production Support

  • Provide hands-on technical support to production teams for troubleshooting yield issues, process deviations, and equipment downtime.
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for production failures (using tools like DMAIC, FMEA, Ishikawa).
  • Support daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and performance targets (throughput, yield, quality).

3. Equipment and Tooling Management

  • Specify, qualify, and maintain production equipment such as optical benches, alignment stations, bonding systems, and test setups.
  • Design and procure custom fixtures, jigs, and alignment tools to improve precision and throughput.
