Manufacturing(Chemicals/Materials)
Our client is a Japanese chemical manufacturing company. The Senior/ Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, handling samples, and conducting quality inspections as assigned by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests, sample analysis, and quality inspections for raw materials, processes, and finished products.
- Perform advanced maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory equipment.
- Manage chemical and consumable inventory, including preparation, standardization of chemical reagents, and waste management.
- Maintain quality records and support the development of quality procedures.
- Train and guide junior laboratory or chemical technicians.
- Carry out calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in and contribute to risk assessments, quality procedures, and decision-making on quality and maintenance matters.
- Support procurement of laboratory materials and monitor budget controls.
- Implement and uphold Quality Assurance (QA) and safety activities in daily operations.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of laboratory experience in conducting Manual Wet Chemistry or Manual Laboratory Testing.
- Proven hands-on experience with equipment calibration and reagent preparation.
- Knowledgeable in all equipment operating procedures and quality control procedures, with competency in the use of laboratory equipment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiar with and strongly committed to safety and quality standards.
