Role Summary:
The Senior Key Account Manager drives Paseo's growth, profitability, and market share across all major retail channels and key accounts. This role involves developing strategic sales and trade marketing plans, leading high-level retailer negotiations, and managing trade investments. Success requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience in FMCG retail operations, merchandising, and distributor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
Drive Modern Trade revenue, profitability, and market share by creating and executing strategic sales and promotional plans. Lead portfolio growth through new product launches, assortment planning, and channel expansion while consistently meeting short- and long-term sales targets. Build strong retail partnerships by developing rolling 3-to-6-month business plans to maximize distribution and category performance.
Key Account & Customer Management
Build and manage strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners. Lead commercial negotiations regarding pricing, promotions, and trade terms, while managing business plans to ensure seamless execution. Promptly resolve operational and supply issues to improve operational efficiency and drive sales growth.
Trade Marketing & Category Management
Align trade marketing and promotion activities with sales goals and business objectives. Lead category management, including promotion planning, assortment, pricing, and visibility. Optimize trade spending to ensure high ROI and brand growth while negotiating in-store activations and merchandising to maximize sales.
Execution & Merchandising Excellence
Ensure effective implementation of sales plans, promotions, pricing compliance, visibility standards, and merchandising excellence across all assigned outlets. Conduct regular market visits to monitor in-store execution, identify opportunities, and gather competitor intelligence and market insights. Lead, coach, and guide sales merchandisers to improve execution capabilities, negotiation skills, and operational discipline.
Operational & Cross-Functional Management
Drive operational efficiency within the Modern Trade channel to improve service levels, stock availability, and execution effectiveness. Collaborate closely with Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams on forecasting, inventory planning, release orders, and promotional execution. Ensure alignment between commercial strategies and operational capabilities to minimize out-of-stock risks and maximize sales opportunities.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
Analyze sales data, market trends, promotional performance, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare forecasts, management reports, business reviews, and sales performance analysis on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Provide regular market intelligence updates including competitor activities, pricing movements, promotional trends, and category developments.
