Senior Java Developer Trading Platforms / Low-Latency / Front Office
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their Front Office technology team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced trading environments and enjoys working closely with business stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and enhance high-performance trading platform components
- Build low-latency, multi-threaded systems to support real-time trading
- Collaborate directly with Front Office users, including traders and quants
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable trading solutions
- Troubleshoot, analyse, and optimise system performance
What We're Looking For:
- At least 7 years of strong experience with core Java, including low-latency and multi-threading
- Proven experience building or supporting trading platforms
- Front Office exposure is essential
- Background in banking, hedge funds, or other financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, such as equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with business stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
