A leading global crypto exchange is hiring a Low-Latency Java Engineer to join its core trading systems team. The role sits at the heart of the platform, building and optimising high-performance, real-time trading infrastructure operating at global scale. Exceptional C++ engineers with relevant low-latency experience are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and optimise low-latency Java-based trading systems
- Build high-throughput, real-time components supporting exchange and matching engine functionality
- Analyse and improve system performance, latency and resilience
- Collaborate with globally distributed, multi-lingual engineering and infrastructure teams
- Contribute to the reliability and scalability of 24/7 mission-critical systems
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Java, ideally within low-latency or performance-critical environments
- Solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, JVM performance tuning and networking
- Background in real-time, high-frequency or trading systems
- C++ experience with proven low-latency exposure considered a strong alternative
- Comfortable working in multi-lingual, globally distributed teams - English and Mandarin
- Prior experience in crypto, exchange or financial markets is advantageous but not essential
