About Our Client

We are partnering with a well-established global MNC organisation in the shipping logistics industry, headquartered in Singapore.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

• Design Liner Management System (LMS) strategic development roadmap and drive development to meet clear business objectives
• Well-versed in Liner business operation process and develop current systems capabilities and processes, to improve operation efficiency, effectiveness and add value to customers
• Able to perform technical design and development of complex application systems using emerging platforms
• To be involved in systems integration testing and applications testing, as well as working with users to provide the test plans and test scripts
• Performing SQL fine-tuning to improve system performance
• To provide on-going maintenance of existing application systems and production support whenever required
• Keep on top of the latest technology trend, proposing new and emerging technologies

The Successful Applicant

• At least 5 years of working experience in software development using Java
• Strong unerstanding of web services/API, EDIFACT, ANSI X12 format & XML format
• Strong knowledge with SQL, particularly in Microsoft SQL Server
• Possess knowledge of finance or shipping systems and processes will be an advantage
