Senior Java Developer (Contract)

We are seeking a talented Senior Developer to join our engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying scalable, event-driven banking applications. Working with modern technologies including Kubernetes, Kafka, and React JS, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java/Spring Boot (or your primary backend language) deployed on Kubernetes clusters.

• Build responsive and intuitive frontend applications using React JS (hooks, state management, component libraries).

• Implement event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and asynchronous processing.

• Manage container lifecycle with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, config maps).

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and design patterns.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, service discovery, rolling updates).

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, consumer groups, error handling).

• Solid experience building frontend applications with React JS (functional components, hooks, context API, REST/GraphQL integration).

• Experience with containerization using Docker.

• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Go, Python, or Node.js) with the ability to write robust APIs.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).

• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
