Job Description
We are hiring experienced Java API Automation Test Engineers with strong expertise in the Karate Testing Framework for multiple openings in Singapore. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in API automation testing using Java and Karate Framework, along with a strong understanding of automation testing methodologies and Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts using Java and Karate Framework
- Perform REST API testing and backend automation testing
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and resolve defects
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and stand-up meetings
- Maintain automation reports, test documentation, and testing metrics
- Support CI/CD integration and automation execution pipelines
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Java Automation Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Karate Testing Framework
- Experience in REST API Automation Testing
- Strong Core Java programming knowledge
- Experience with Maven, Git, and Jenkins
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills
- Selenium Automation Testing
- Playwright exposure
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Certification
- Certification in Karate Framework / API Automation Testing preferred
- Java Certification will be an added advantage
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
