As a Senior IT System Engineer, you'll tackle challenging problems, design innovative architectures, and build scalable solutions utilizing virtualization and networking technologies to make a real difference.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain on-premises Windows and Linux server environments
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and enterprise storage systems (SAN/ NAS) to ensure system availability, performance, and capacity planning
• Perform daily infrastructure operations, monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation
• Support and administer network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs
• Implement system hardening, patch management, and security best practices across infrastructure components
• Operate infrastructure in accordance with ISO standards, CIS benchmarks, and GxP requirements
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, change records, validation documents, and infrastructure diagrams
• Implement, monitor, and periodically test backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Support hybrid/cloud initiatives, automation, and infrastructure improvement projects in collaboration with other teams

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, and other IT-related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in on-premises IT infrastructure operations.
• Strong experience with:

1. Microsoft Windows Server (2003-2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
2. Linux server administration (at least one major distribution)
3. Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)
4. Enterprise storage (SAN / NAS)
5. Core networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewall, VPN)

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues independently
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments with proper documentation and change control
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and clients
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams

Added Advantage:

• Experience with:

1. MSSQL administration
2. GxP environment
3. Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, VBA)
4. DevOps or infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD)
5. Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
6. Monitoring and observability tools (ELK, TIG, or similar)

• Professional certifications in:

1. Infrastructure (VMware, Microsoft)
2. Networking (CCNA/CCNP)
3. Security or compliance (ISO 27001, CIS)
4. Cloud platforms

• Ability to start immediately or within a short notice period

Working Hours & Location:

• 5-day workweek (4 days in Office & 1 day Work-from-Home) / Mondays - Thursdays 9:30am - 6:30 pm, Fridays 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) / Location: Ang Mo Kio & Tuas Area)
