Senior/ IT Executive

COMO Metropolitan Singapore is located in the heart of Singapore on Bideford Road. Managing and overseeing the hotel's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their reliability, security, and functionality. The role involves supporting the hotel's technology needs, managing IT staff, and ensuring all technology solutions align with business goals and guest satisfaction. The Senior IT Executive will work closely with other departments to optimize technology tools and systems for operational efficiency and enhanced guest experience.

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Corporate IT Manager to implement, upgrade, and manage IT systems in line with corporate standards and strategies.
• Liaise with all stakeholders concerning their Information Technology requirements and needs. Identify, evaluate and recommend enhancements to systems and report on progress.
• Regular testing, updating and application of security updates must be performed.
• Undertake Information Technology projects to meet the needs of client departments. Write detailed project schedules as required.
• Keep up to date on Information Technology relating to both hardware and software.
• Ensure that system policies and procedures are complete and up to date. In particular, ensure that there is an effective disaster recovery plan, which is regularly reviewed and tested.
• Manage AV equipment such as Music Concierge, LED wall, projectors, microphones, speakers and other audio-visual equipment.
• Assist with the configuration and technical support for events or presentations, ensuring the AV systems meet the event's requirements.
• Communicate Information Technology problems, changes, progress and other news to end-users.
• Write, maintain and update user documentation for hardware and software.
• Work closely with the Purchasing team to administer supplier contracts and monitor their performance to ensure that the property is getting the best service possible.
• Work together with Security and Safety Manager to manage the Information Technology capital and revenue budgets, and working closely together with the Director of Finance.
• Carry out system upgrades, maintenance, and patch management during off-peak hours to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Attend training offered by the hotel.
• Maintain inventory of IT and AV equipment, ensuring that all items are regularly tracked, maintained, and accounted for.
• Ensure that outdated or broken IT hardware (computers, printers, servers, etc.) is properly disposed of in accordance with hotel policy, environmental guidelines, and data security requirements.
• Support and contribute to COMO's sustainability goals by implementing environmentally responsible practices within your roles and departments.
