Senior iOS Engineer - Spend

About the Spend Squad:

We build products that allow our customers to spend their money anywhere in the world. We currently process about £34 billion annually and issue cards to over 40 countries. We are also building out features which localise the spending experience no matter where you are.

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you would be responsible for shipping the direct customer touch points on one of Wise's most impactful products and highest growth products.

What you will do:

You will drive the technical execution of our mobile product, working closely with backend, frontend, and product teams.

Your day-to-day focus will be:

• Lead full, engineer-driven product initiatives. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of a feature, from inception and technical planning to shipping and scaling.
• Directly support and build out the card product across 5 individual product teams. This includes owning core user flows like card ordering, transacting, 3DS authentication, bill splitting, recurring payments, and dispute resolution.
• Write clean, maintainable code on your platform, advocate for mobile best practices, and collaborate with the wider globally distributed tribe to ensure a seamless mobile experience.

Qualifications

About you:

We are looking for a highly technical, product-passionate iOS engineer who brings:

• Deep experience building, shipping, and maintaining high-performing apps at scale on iOS.

• Proven experience working with modern iOS UI development (SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency)

• You don't just build to spec you have a passion for customer experience. You rely on data to make decisions and actively look for ways to fix customer pain-points.

• The ability to articulate complex, deeply technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional peers.

• Comfortable working in an environment where you can pivot effectively when priorities change, quickly adjusting workflows to meet team objectives.

• Thrives in a globally distributed squad and tribe environment, working as a strong team player who elevates the engineers around them through technical excellence.
