Our client, well-established global investor are looking for a Senior Associate to join a regional investment team. The firm invests across private credit and special situations in complex and non-traditional situations.
The role offers broad exposure across investment analysis, transaction execution and portfolio support, working closely with senior team members on a range of non-standard investment opportunities. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working in dynamic, less formulaic situations and is keen to deepen their experience across different capital structures and market environments.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Evaluation
- Support the assessment of new investment opportunities, including financial analysis, scenario analysis and risk assessment
- Analyse businesses with complex capital structures or transitional dynamics
- Assist in developing investment rationales and evaluating risk-return trade-offs
- Prepare analysis and materials for internal review and decision-making
Transaction Support & Execution
- Assist with transaction execution across the full investment lifecycle
- Coordinate due diligence processes across financial, legal and commercial workstreams
- Work closely with external advisors including banks, legal counsel and consultants
- Support transaction structuring and documentation processes
Portfolio & Ongoing Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring existing investments and tracking performance against expectations
- Support interactions with management teams and advisors
- Prepare portfolio updates and internal reporting materials
- Contribute to post-investment initiatives as required
Market & Sector Exposure
- Conduct market and sector research to support investment ideas and portfolio review
- Track macro, regulatory and industry developments relevant to the region
- Contribute to internal discussions and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 69 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, private equity or related investment roles
- Background in M&A, leveraged finance, restructuring or complex financing is advantageous
- Prior buy-side exposure is helpful but not essential if execution experience is strong
