Senior Investment Analyst - Japan Sector

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research with a primary focus on the Japanese stock market to identify and develop investment ideas.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks with deep analysis of pricing dynamics, and earnings drivers.
• Perform company, industry, and macro analysis, including global trends and cross-strait/geopolitical considerations.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop, challenge, and refine investment decisions.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to the investment team.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, catalysts, and risk exposures, including ongoing performance tracking.
• Stay up to date on corporate developments, earnings releases, and industry trends across the Taiwan semiconductor and broader tech ecosystem.

Qualifications:

1. Major in Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in equity research, asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking (buy-side or sell-side).
3. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
4. Demonstratedability to conduct fundamental company and industry research.
5. Fluent Japanese and English required.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to present investment ideas clearly.
7. High level of intellectual curiosity, discipline, and attention to detail.
