Job Description

[What the role is]

As a Senior/ Investigator (Etomidate E-Vaporisers), you will be part of a team to undertake a range of challenging enforcement activities to safeguard public health.

[What you will be working on]

The Senior/ Investigator (Etomidate E-Vaporisers) will be part of the team to undertake a range of challenging enforcement activities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Conducting out field operations to arrest offenders abusing etomidate-laced e-vaporisers and seize exhibits in accordance with the relevant legislative provisions
  • Conducting meticulous investigations and surveillance operations for possible importing, peddling and trafficking offences involving etomidate-laced vaporisers
  • Administering the supervision regime for such abuse offenders, and engaging members of the public, including families of the suspected etomidate abusers, to explain HSA's policies and processes
  • Conducting talks on preventive education and HSA's enforcement strategies to youths, relevant stakeholders and organisations.
  • Formulating, implementing and reviewing enforcement policies & strategies
  • Assist in developing and reviewing workflow and collaborations with other Groups / departments and submission of reports;
  • Assist in developing and reviewing SOPs internally and with external agencies;
  • Assist in identifying lapses and areas where illegal activities can occur;
  • Liaise and collaborate with international police organisation (e.g. Interpol) and overseas counterparts in on investigation matters;
  • Liaise with HSA's prosecutorial team and/or Attorney General's Chambers on investigation matters;
  • Plan for inspections and routine enforcement checks, and participating in these enforcement operations;
  • Arrest offenders and accused persons & manage bail operations, if necessary;
  • Execute warrant of arrest of offenders who fail to attend court;
  • Arrange meetings with external agencies to coordinate enforcement activities and provide situational updates;
  • Assist in the preparation of documents etc for purpose of prosecuting the cases in court.

[What we are looking for]


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated capability to work autonomously while contributing effectively in team settings
  • Track record of handling both operational duties and administrative responsibilities
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, enforcement or uniformed services would be beneficial.
  • Able to work a combination of office hours and 24/7 standby call-ups for field operations.
  • Medically fit due to physical demands of the scope

The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
